Born From the Trail
What began as informal hiking trips with friends evolved into a mission. After years of guiding for larger outfitters, our founders noticed something troubling: tours were becoming products, travelers were becoming consumers, and the wilderness was becoming a backdrop rather than a destination.
We started moor-tale with a different philosophy. Every expedition we design prioritizes depth over distance, connection over consumption. We move slowly enough to notice the small things—the way morning light filters through coastal fog, the sound of a creek changing as you ascend toward its source.

Our Team
Every guide on our roster holds advanced wilderness certifications and has spent years developing intimate knowledge of specific regions. But credentials only tell part of the story.
Our guides are interpreters and storytellers, naturalists and safety experts. They know when to share knowledge and when to let silence speak. They've built relationships with the landscapes they guide through—returning season after season, noticing changes, understanding patterns.
